Competition theme: Letter to your Valentine

*Rules for National writing Competition (February):

– Submit the letter through your Author panel. (For the new author: visit https://Author.Matrubharti.com register yourself as Author & get your Author panel. Go to your Author panel & publish the story.)
– Keep primary heading ‘Letter to your Valentine’ & secondary heading should be the name of your letter.
– A letter containing minimum 1000 words should be approved. (Max word limit: 2000 words)
– The last date for submission of the letter will be 28th February 2018.
– The announcement of the results of the competition by end of the month.
Due, to the influx of large numbers of participation, we have decided to announce 50 winners.

First 50 winners get Rs. 500/- reward.

પ્રિય દોસ્ત,

પ્રેમ એટલે શું છે? એ કોઈ વ્યાખ્યાયિત પદ છે?

…પ્રેમ, ઇશ્ક, પ્યાર, ઇઝહાર, દિલ, એક રોઝ, શામ, રાત, ફૂલ, લૅટર્સ, નોટ્સ, મૅસેજ, ચિઠ્ઠી, કાગળ, મળવું, ફરવું, ઝૂરવું, ચૂમવું… સમર્પણ, તર્પણ અને સંબંધનું દર્પણ.

ગમતું પાત્ર, હૃદયના કોઈક ખૂણે વસી ગયેલ વ્યક્તિ, જીવનમાં કોઈક ક્ષણે પસંદ પડી ગયેલ ચહેરો, ગળે ભરાયેલ ડૂમો અને આંખોની ભીનાશની કેટલીક પળો, આથમતાં સૂર્યને જોઈને આપેલા જિંદગીભરના કૉલ, દરિયાની ખારાશ સાચવીને બેઠેલ છાતીનું ઋજુ પોલાણ ધરાવતો એક ખૂણો, મનમાંથી ન ખસતી કોઈકની આસક્તિ, ગમતાંને પામવાની ચાહ, તેની પળેપળ જોવાતી રાહ, સદાય કોઈક મારી પાસે હોય તેનાં શમણાંઓ, કોઈને લખેલો નનામો પત્ર.

વહેલી સવારે વાળ સૂકવતી પત્ની, ગાર્ડનમાં રમતાં બાળકો, કાફેની ખુશબો, ઘરના હિંચકે તેની ડોશીને હજુયે પ્રેમથી જોઈ રહેલો ડોસો, સંતાનના સપનાઓ સાકાર કરવા મથતા પેરેન્ટ્સ,બાપ માટે ‘ફાધર્સ ક્યૂટી’, મા માટે ‘મધરલી બોય’, જેને ટેકે બે પીઠ સ્પર્શી હતી તેવો કૉલેજમાં હજુયે ઉભેલો એ વડલો, બે જણે એકલાં બેસીને કરેલી વાતોની સાક્ષી એવી સ્કૂલની એ બેંચ,ઑફિસથી આવતાવેંત ડૉરબૅલ પહેલાં જ ખૂલી જતો દરવાજો, કોઈના માટે કશુંક કાગળમાં લખ્યું હતું અને પછી તે ફાડી નાંખ્યો હતો, એક મૅસેજને હજુ બ્લૂ ટિક થાય તે પહેલાં જ તેને ડિલીટ કર્યો હતો… યાદ છે?

પ્રેમ છે, દરેક સંબંધમાં! વૅલેન્ટાઈન તમારા માટે શું છે? તમારા જીવનમાં પ્રેમ શું છે? કોઈ વ્યક્તિ, તેની સાથે જોડાયેલ સંબંધ, કોઈ છૂટી ગયેલી ક્ષણ, ફરીથી જીવવા માંગતા હો તેવો સમય, કોઈને પામવાની-ચાહવાની-દિલ ફાડીને પ્રેમ કરવા તૈયાર થતું હૃદય, વર્ષો બાદ કોઈને કહેવા માંગતા હો તેવી કોઈ વાત અને આવું ઘણું બધું જે આપણી અંદર છે. માત્ર આપણે જ તેના પર અધિકાર ધરાવીએ છીએ.

ચાલો, આજે પત્ર લખીએ. આપણાં મનગમતાં વૅલેન્ટાઈનને!

       प्यार क्या है? कोई व्याख्यायित पद है?

       … प्रेम, इश्क, प्यार, इज़हार, दिल, एक रोज़, शाम, रात, फूल, लेटर्स, नोट्स, मैसेज, पत्र, कागज़, मिलना, फिरना, चूमना… समर्पण, तर्पण और संबंध का दर्पण|

       पसंदीदा पात्र, हृदय के एक कोने में बस चुकी कोई व्यक्ति, जीवन की किसी पल में पसंद आया था वह चेहरा, आँखों से आँसू बहने के लिए जवाबदार कोई अजनबी, अस्त होते सूर्य को देखकर एकदूजे को दिए थे वह जीवनभर साथ निभाने के वादे, समंदर से खारेपन को आज तक दिल में संजोए हुए बैठा नर्म दिल का एक कोना, मन में से दूर न होती किसी की चाह, जिसको पसंद करते है उसको पाने की चाह, उसका हरपल इंतज़ार, वो हमेशा मेरे पास हो एसे सपनें, किसी को लिखा था वह बेनामी पत्र|

       सुबह में बाल झटकती पत्नी, गार्डन में खेलतें बच्चें, केफे की खुश्बो, घर के झूले पर बैठकर उसकी बूढ़ी पत्नी को देख रहा बूढ़ा हसबंड, बच्चों के सपनों को साकार करने पुरुषार्थ करते पैरेंट्स, बाप के लिए ‘फ़ादर्स क्यूटी’, माँ के लिए ‘मदरली बॉय’, दो प्रेमी जिसको आधार लिए बैठे थे उसका साक्षी बनकर खड़ा कोलेज का वह बरगद का पेड़, अकेले बैठकर दुनियाभर की बातें की थी वह स्कूल की बेंच, ऑफिस से आते वक्त डोरबेल बजाने से पहले खुलता दरवाज़ा, किसी के लिए एक काग़ज में कुछ लिखा था और फाड़ दिया था, एक मैसेज को अभी ब्लू टिक भी नहीं हुई थी और उसके पहले ही डिलीट किया था…. याद है?

       प्रेम है, हर एक संबंध में| वैलेंटाइन आपके लिए क्या है? आपके जीवन में प्रेम यानि क्या? किसी व्यक्ति, उसके साथ जुड़ा हुआ रिश्ता, कोई छूट गई हो एसी पल, फिर से जीना चाहते है एसा समय, किसी को पाने-चाहने-दिल फाड़कर प्यार करने के लिए तैयार होता दिल, बरसों बाद किसी को कुछ कहना चाहते हो एसी कोई बात और एसा बहोत सारा… जो सिर्फ हम जानते हैं और सिर्फ हमारा ही उस पर हक है|

       चलिए, आज पत्र लिखें, अपने पसंदीदा वैलेंटाइन को|

The favourite character, someone who had settled in one corner of the your heart, A face which had liked it in destine moment of life, a stranger who was responsible for the your tears, those promises you’ve made to live together throughout life during watching the sunset, till today you kept just like soreness of the sea in a corner of the soft heart, the attachment of someone who can’t be away from the mind, desire to impress a lovable person that you wish to make love, waiting for someone from years, dreams to live always together with desirable person, wrote that anonymous letter to someone.

Wife fluttering her hair in the morning, children playing in the garden, Smell of the cafe, the old man sitting on the swing & looking at his old wife, parents do much work to fulfil the dreams of their children, the ‘Fathers’ Cutie’ for the father, The ‘Motherly Boy’ for the mother, two lovers who were sitting that witnessed by a banyan tree standing in college, two persons sit alone and talked too much on the school’s bench, The door opened before the pressing doorbell while coming from the office, had written something for someone in a paper and torn it, a message did not even get blue tick and had already been deleted … remember?

Love is in every relationship. What is Valentine for you? What is love in your life? Any person, the relationship associated with him, missed a moment, the moment you wants to live again, such a time, after many years we want to tell something about those moments & much other…. which only we know and only ours right over it.
